NAMASTE - Welcome, to the site of JaMar Apartments.
Jamar Apartments are proud to present you with 2 beautiful and lovely apartments situated in the villages of Candolim and Apora, North Goa.
The first of these complexes, Prazeres Rendezvous, was completed in April 2007. It is an attractive en-suite one bedroomed apartment on the second floor. The main balcony can be accessed via the lounge or the bedroom and overlooks the sparkling pool; an additional terrace adjoins the kitchen.
Our second, apartment, Renton Manor, is nestled between Baga and Apora. It is a quiet location yet within easy reach of the action.
Both our apartments are ideally situated close the the beach (approx 600m) and also the local market. A variety of resturaunts can be reached on foot or by the plentiful and cheap local taxi service nearby. Facilities include 24 hours reception, bar, dining room, and landscaped gardens.
For those wishing to self cater, a supermarket is conveniently situated to the rear of the block.
Whether you are a first time visitor to Goa or you return year after year, be it for a few weeks or a few months, you will find your stay at Jamar relaxing and an ideal location for exploring North Goa.
As a result of 450 years of Portuguese rule, Goa is a unique blend of east and west that is at once perceivable to the visitor as exotic but strangely familiar. For example, the festivals of Christmas and Diwali are celebrated with equal enthusiasm by Christians, Hindus and Muslims alike, making Goa a unique place of religious harmony. The State's separate identity from the rest of India can be most visibly seen in its Latin influenced architecture, but also in its fish and meat rich cuisine. Alcohol is also freely available and beer is served along with the more traditional tipple of Feni. Try the 'Honeybee' brandy.
Goa has always been famous for its soft white sand beaches, dramatic sunsets and for the friendly and easygoing nature of its inhabitants. This small Indian state is just over a hundred kilometres from north to south and has been renowned as one of Asia's most enchanting destinations for visitors over hundreds of years.
But the palm-fringed coast of the balmy Arabian Sea is only part of what is on offer. The State's heartland and its most densely populated area is the fertile strip inland which consists of a patchwork of paddy-fields and grazing land for cattle and water buffalo. There are coconut plantations, whitewashed churches and temples, rivers and backwaters and spice plantations.
Further east, the jungle-covered hills of The Western Ghats separate Goa from the rest of India. Here in the foothills exist tiny thatched roofed villages and isolated communities who are direct descendants of the region's aboriginal peoples.
